Success

What a great day, the weather was nice.  It was a bit warm but there was an occasional breeze and we had the shade of the pavilion.  It was so nice to visit with everyone and to just sit back and listen like Mom used to do.

Here is a connection to my few pictures and hopefully more will become available from other cameras that were there to be shown later.

weather forecast for Saturday

This is what Weather.com has to say about Springfield weather for Saturday.  Looks like hot and dry but with the pavilion there will be some shade as well as all the trees in the park.  That little breeze will help.

Seven Weeks

Seven weeks from today will be June 16 and the day of our gathering, Yea!

Looking forward to visiting with everyone and re-telling/re-hearing all the old stories that anyone can remember plus meeting the new wee-ones.

Okay we're on our way

This morning I made our reservation for the Phelps Grove Park pavilion for June 16, 2012.  We have it reserved for all day so folks can come and go as necessary but my thoughts are that the main activity will be around a lunch time picnic.  Others can chime in with any suggested activities for the day and one decision that needs to be made is how to handle the lunch.  Do we arrange for a catered picnic?  Do we just let each family bring their own?  Please comment with suggestions.
